Reporting to the Assistant Manager the Design Architect provides technical support and design expertise in relation to architectural design work associated with Buildings, maintenance facilities and transit facilities.

Responsibilities:

The Design Architect will retrieve as-built drawings, conduct site surveys, complete designs, prepare conceptual and final drawings, prepare specifications and contribute to the tendering and construction documents.

Prepare Design Scope Clarifications by communicating with the work order originator and stakeholders.

Prepare architectural drawings and specifications using Microsoft Office and Microstation systems.

Carrying out assigned field reviews to ensure that designs are built in general compliance with Issued for construction documents and Ontario Building codes.

Stamping design drawings for permit drawings.

Education:

Architectural Degree from a recognized University

OAA certified and in good standing

Strong Microstation CADD skills.

Ontario Building Code knowledge
