As a Case Manager, you'll have the opportunity to apply your medical knowledge to make important decisions about disability claims.

In a Case Coordinator role, your typical responsibilities can include:
- Triage incoming disability cases to determine complexity
- Manage all non-complex cases to resolution
- Effectively communicate with employees and employers to determine all factors that may influence case complexity, including diagnosis, duration of disability and the presence of non-medical barriers
- Complete specified administrative tasks on all cases

In a Case Manager role, your day-to-day responsibilities would also include:
• The assessment of claims including the identification, and analysis of medical, contractual, and eligibility information
• The development of vocational rehabilitation case management plans for Claimants
• Building relationships with Claimants and Clients
• Assessment and adjudication of claims including the analysis of medical, contractual, and eligibility information to make decisions about the claims.

Qualifications
While qualifications vary, successful candidates all possess the following:

• Must have familiarity with medical terminology
• Strong customer service experience
• Strong problem-solving and decision making skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate PC skills - including data entry, MS Word and MS Excel
• A degree within medical field or equivalent (i.e. nurse, physical therapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology, massage therapy)

The following experience would be an asset:
• Clinical experience within medical field or equivalent (i.e. nurse, physical therapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology, massage therapy)
• Disability management experience (clinical settings, rehab settings, prior claims management preferred)
