This is a dual role, 3 days as a Class G Truck Driver and 2 days working as a Warehouse Material
Handler.


Contribute to the overall success of the business by consistently providing superior customer service to our clients and
contribute to an excellent team environment while maintaining safety as the first priority. Carry out all aspects of
warehousing, loading/unloading containers/vehicles, pick and pack, as well as general housekeeping of warehouse in an
accurate and efficient manner while following all assigned procedures as set by the business.


RESPONSIBILITIES AS A DRIVER:
• Responsible for ensuring the delivery of quartz slabs in a safe and efficient manner.
• Being a main point of contact with the customers, great customer service skills are also required.
• Operating power unit equipped with multi-speed transmission (Automatic or Manual) safely by adhering to all safety
requirements
• Perform inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of truck unit before, during, and after trips, including
gauges, lighting and electrical systems, and visual checks of potential water, oil, fuel and air leaks
• Completing all applicable paperwork. Maintain up-to-date Driver Log throughout the duration of each shift.
• Observing and complying with rules and regulations of the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act


RESPONSIBILITIES AS A MATERIAL HANDLER:
• Supervise issues and activities central to the Warehouse operations
• Creates daily tracking forms and ensures they are completed on a timely basis and balanced accurately
• Ensure Occupational Health & Safety policies are followed at all times throughout the warehouse and the rest of the facility.
• Operate overhead crane in a safe and responsible manner to load slabs onto customer’s vehicles.
• Drive forklift in a safe and responsible manner to load and unload slabs onto customer’s vehicles and shipping
containers.
• Ensure delivery docket matches what has been loaded onto customer’s truck
• Unload containers which arrive daily. Scanning receipts according to procedure.
• Load and unload semi-trailers for transfer of stock to or from other branches.
• Ensure paperwork is completed efficiently and correctly.
• Participate in monthly inventory counts.
• Daily equipment inspections.
• Cleaning/maintenance of the warehouse and yard.


QUALIFICATIONS:
• Professional presentation, work ethic and behaviour
• Current license/certification on Forklift and Overhead Crane operation
• Excellent communication, work management, collaboration and results orientation skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff, management and customers
• Positive and “can do” attitude, and a confident, polite manner
• Basic Computer literacy and experienced with Microsoft Office Products
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Able to work with tight deadlines in a multi-task, high priority environment

Monday to Friday 7 am -4 pm
$19-$22 per hour based on experience
