Are you looking for an interesting role as an Electrical Technologist in Kingston?
Are you a hands-on person, who likes to be in the field, building, installing and programming electrical control systems?
Do you have PLC programming experience with Omron or Schneider systems?

If Yes, this is the right opportunity for you.

Build and install electrical control systems in alignment with the designs provided by the project engineering team In accordance with relevant codes and standards, including but not limited to CSA B149, NFPA 86, NFPA 70, UL795 and TSSA regulations (in Ontario)

Testing and commissioning, including the Inspection of the systems according to internal
Acceptance Test Protocol (ATP)

Work in a multi-disciplinary team which has responsibility for the manufacture and installation of
complete projects

Work with 3rd party authorities on field inspection and approvals

Provide Operator and Maintenance Training according to internal procedures

Ensure documentation of testing, training, handover etc. according to requirements

Provide customer service including troubleshooting

Adhere to appropriate safety requirements in all aspects of work

Your Qualifications

3-year Electrical Engineering Diploma or equivalent work experience.
Related Experience:

Knowledge of different types of Man-Machine Interfaces
Knowledge of variable frequency drives
Knowledge of conduit construction and installation
Knowledge of running wire, making connections and labelling
Knowledge of relevant codes, standards and guidelines (e.g. CSA, TSSA, NFPA)
Knowledge of equipment to select for field installations

Ability to create logic ladder diagrams for PLC
Ability to program PLC Systems, preferably Omaron or Shenieder
Ability to properly install electrical equipment and conduits
Ability to create technical drawings (e.g. AutoCad) of the control system configuration
Skills in troubleshooting to resolve field issues

Open to travel across Noth America - 30% to 40% of travel required
