Are you an Engineering Manager with a background in hydraulics and cylinders? Do you pride yourself in your ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and customers to provide the best solutions possible? Are you a leader with a passion for developing your team? Our client in the Milton area has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for an Engineering Manager with a business development mindset to join their team in Milton.

In this role as an Engineering Manager you will be,

- Reviewing specs for new cylinders or systems
- Working with the field team on new products and systems
- Providing customers with solutions
- Making recommendations for capital investments of machinery
- Working with new grads and coop students
- Working with the suppliers for tooling on the machines
- Presenting solutions to customers
- Tweaking and modifying drawings from customers
- Signing off on drawings after reviewing design
- Providing technical expertise to customers
- Providing leadership by promoting team concepts, diversity, coaching, counselling, mentoring, training, talent / succession management and individual development
- Be accountable for project goals, objectives and financial performance targets
- Concept development, estimation, customer proposals, design and execution
- Working with Business Development and Division Marketing to identify, engage and capitalize on new product and market opportunities
- Ensure timelines are met by coordinating across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Operations
- Working with material suppliers on new materials or processes for new product
- Collaborating with all divisions and departments

As a qualified Engineering Manager you will possess the following qualifications,

- Hydraulic and Cylinder background
- P. Eng
- Business development mindset
- Design and application of cylinders, valves
- Power specialist or technician
- Mechanical Engineering diploma or relevant
- Bachelors Degree
- Leadership - ability to lead effectively a team of up to 10 in a variety of roles
- AutoDesk - Inventor CAD experience
