Enbridge in Chatham has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Junior Buyer for a 6 month contract in their Head Office. The Junior Buyer will work under the guidance of the Buyer and/or Supply Chain Specialist and is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain group in processing requests for material and procuring them in a timely manner meeting business requirements and specifications.

Job Duties/Description

Entry level role within the supply chain group– role would be roughly 80% administrative and 20% entry level/Jr Buyer related tasks

· Admin Tasks

o Support vendors with set-up in financial (SAP) & safety (ISNet) systems
o Co-ordinate set-up of required EHS documentation between internal clients, vendors and EHS and set-up/maintenance in procurement system
o Processing requisitions for approval – ensure all information and documentation is in place and follow up as required
o Run/Review status reports from various procurement systems and follow up on actions as required

· Jr Buyer Tasks

o Invoice issue resolution
o Consolidating bid information for review with buyer

Minimum Qualifications:

· 3-5 years’ work experience in an administrative or supply chain environment.
· University Degree or College Diploma (Administrative, Business, Supply Chain or related field)
· Technical knowhow of MS Office
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Basic understanding of supply chain
