Randstad is now looking for a Junior Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic team in the heart of beautiful Saanichton.

This particular role is a temporary position, but with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right person. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the equipment as well as the Facilities. If you are a hard worker, looking to expand your knowledge in mechanical or electric fields, this job is for you.

Other duties and responsibilities:

- Sourcing materials, parts and equipment for the repair/building of devices, equipment, and machinery.

- Handling waste stream equipment

- General clean up

- Daily entering of data, equipment history, and calibration specifications into a Database.

- Maintain all building systems

- Handle minor construction projects

- Exerting greater than 50lbs of force occasionally and 25-50lbs of force frequently.

About you:

- Minimum of 1 year maintenance in a manufacturing environment

- Work experience in mechanical or electronics is a bonus

- Experience in data entry, using a data base and MS Office programs an asset

- Excellent written and oral communication

- Ability to work with a team

- Positive attitude

- Self-motivated

- Innovative


- High school graduate, automotive or construction class experience an asset.

Flexibility is key, as there could be some weekend work.
