andstad is hiring on behalf of one of our most prestigious partnering companies, Alstom Transport, to work on the exciting LRT Project.

We are hiring people for our Train Move Team during the evening. This is a full-time, physical role that requires focus, communication and maturity.

Who we want:
The best people for this job are dedicated to health and safety procedures, have good communication skills, and like seeing their efforts contribute to a high profile project. You will be responsible for moving brand new light rail vehicles within a manufacturing environment and should be comfortable with a high degree of responsibility.

You should be familiar with basic hand and power tools such as (drills, wrenches) and be able to adapt to changing circumstances.

To be successful in this role you will need to work collaboratively as well as independently.

The evening team will work in both an indoor and outdoor environment, summer and winter, rain or shine.
Tasks and duties that may be asked of you include:
• Assisting with setting and locking of switches;
• Learning and responding to instructions and hand signals according to Rules and Procedures;
• Coupling and/or uncoupling of trains;
• Ensuring safety of people and property that can come into contact with a moving train;
• Understanding and communicating safety distances and visibility with train operators;
• Reporting any incidents, near misses or unsafe work practices.
