Our client, Canada's oldest bank, is hiring a Financial Analyst for a 3 month contract with long term potential.

The Financial Analyst is responsible to support the processes managed by Technology Finance around contract intake, interpretation and accounting. The Analyst must effectively liaise with and consolidate information from various groups across Technology & Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

Contract Management
- Assist with examining contracts entered into by the Technology group and perform financial interpretation and forecasting of service delivery.
- Assist with the investigation and resolution of Finance Operations invoicing escalations related to contract specific invoices.
- Maintain and monitor supporting documentation and reconciliation for month end journal entries including contract related accruals.
- Identify potential accounting and operational issues and provide insightful recommendations.
- Prepare reports and analysis from Clarity and CMS systems

Relationship Management
- Display excellent relationship management skills and maintain excellent communication with key Business Partners.
- Facilitate/participate in regularly scheduled meetings with assigned Technology Business Pillars to maintain effective communication and resolution of known and potential issues.
Proactively support the development and coordination of the Technology Finance group by sharing skills, knowledge and information.

- University degree/college diploma in business (finance or accounting ideally)
- 1-2 years related work experience
- MS Excel - formulas, pivot tables, vlookups
- Interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills - verbal

- University degree/college diploma in business (finance or accounting ideally)
- CPA/GGA/CA/MBA in progress or completed is a nice to have
