Our Toronto client is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to direct and coordinate the day-to-day warehouse activities, including employee rates, inventory, maintenance, storage and staffing, to maximize efficiency & ultimately minimize costs.

Position : Floor Supervisor

Pay: $60,000 - $65,000/year (based on experience)


> Coordinate drivers, vehicles, loads & carriers, prepare documents & routing
> Plan & arrange pick-up of product from customers and vendors
> Oversee choice of couriers and cartage companies
> Ensure timely & accurate deliveries, according to customer requirements
> Verify product, quantity & check condition of all received product
> Ensure that goods enter & leave the warehouse according to established procedures
> Carry out cycle counts and stock checks
> Ensure all inventory is easily identifiable, clean, organized & safely stored
> Maintain a clean, organized & safe warehouse
> Work as a team with all departments to communicate, resolve issues & promote continuous improvement
> Participate in operations meeting
> Direct the activities of warehouse staff and drivers
> Ensure proper staffing at all times
> Train, supervise and appraise staff
> Address staff issues and requests, including disciplinary actions
> Maintain inside and outside equipment as required
> Manage & maintain all company vehicles
> Facilitate added storage for peak inventory periods & special projects
> Communicate with customers to resolve any issues that may arise
> Negotiate & agree contracts
> Prepare paperwork for regulatory bodies
> Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation
> Approve warehouse related expenditures

- $60,000-$65,000 (based on experience)
