As the Head Concierge you will be the first point of contact for the residence, acting as a liaison between employees, the General Manager, residents and visitors. As a key source of information for head office, you have exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a customer service attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to assist. A customer service "can-do" attitude with a keen eye for detail is paramount.

As an Ambassador for the organization, key responsibilities of the Head Concierge role include:

• Providing administrative support for the General Manager and other supervisory staff
• Acting as the first point of contact for residents, family members and visitors in person and via telephone
• Assisting with administrative process for new residents
• Assisting the accounting team with various tasks including: managing petty cash, responding to inquiries from residents/families regarding invoices for resident stays
• Maintaining confidentiality of all financial, personnel and resident data
• Ordering and maintaining supplies
• Maintaining visitor log, resident log, contractor log circle of care log, ensure adequate supply and file daily
• Coordinating guest meals: collect/process payment, communicate with dining room staff
• Managing the Communication log – plan, organize, record day to day operations, keep track, communicate with weekend staff
• Updating census as needed (upon move in; hospital leave/return); ensure resident profile and photos are updated
• Supporting the property sales process by responding to inquiries, providing information to prospects, booking tours;
• Conducting tours as needed
• Ensuring adequate supply of marketing packages are continuously in stock and up to date
• Welcoming and orienting new residents, family members and other visitors
• Understanding fire and safety programs
• Providing oversight of front door entrance and troubleshooting certain systems (SARA pendants, phones, door security)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the retirement living, healthcare, real estate, pharmaceutical, or hospitality related industries
• Empathetic and effective interpersonal customer service skills
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Computer literate with knowledge of related software programs such as Microsoft Office, Yardi and Point Click Care
• Experience in Dementia Care (an asset)
