job description

Are you an accomplished IT Security Leader with the previous relevant experience and passion to build a new IT Security department for a small to mid size team of IT security professionals? Are you technically proficient with modern IT Security analysis while seeing and creating the big picture when it comes to IT Security strategy, governance, process, and compliance? This is the perfect role for you!

We seek a seasoned Information Technology Security Leader at a Manager or Director level who can engage an executive leadership team on the IT steering committee at a mid-size corporation with global operations. And ... you will be technically capable to roll up your sleeves for the analysis of an IT security gap, risk, or breach if necessary.

In this role, the Head of IT Security will formalize the IT Security function and strategy by building upon the existing security infrastructure and frameworks. You will develop proactive policies and procedures to address the expanding security concerns as the company scales. You will establish methodologies to review any new business requirements (technologies or third parties) for security compliance, and play a leading role in the design and implementation of a robust security framework. Further, the Director of Information Security will be a key leader and advocate for the organization’s total information security needs and will be responsible for the development and delivery of a comprehensive information security strategy to optimize security, privacy and compliance within the business.

Any experience with manufacturing or a similar industry with "shop-floor" or mid-size industrial operations across multiple global facilities will be preferred.
