Intermediate Accountant
Permanent role
Ottawa East, ON
$60,000 - $72,000
Monday to Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
Not bus accessible

Do you have 3+ years of Accounting experience and have worked in a manufacturing/industrial setting? Can you work under minimal supervision and enjoy having a high level of responsibility? If so, this may be the right opportunity for you!!

As an Intermediate Accountant you'll be working under the supervision of the Financial Controller.
You will be managing the general ledger accountability, the fixed assets, the financial reporting and other assigned projects.

Key responsabilities:


- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
HST & QST Sales Tax reporting;
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met;
- Maintain schedule of projects in progress that ties to the GL and open capital expenditure reporting;
- Maintains and reconcile spreadsheets for balance sheets account and research any discrepancies;
- Computes and reconcile rebates;
- Oversees and conduct customer collections;
- Oversees employee files, collect and reports payroll time data and books payroll entries;
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data;
- Handle daily bank items as assigned;
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field;
- Minimum 3 years of Accounting experience;
- Extremely knowledgeable of generally accepted accounting practices and principles (GAAP);
- Attention to detail and high accuracy;
- Demonstrated leadership skills;
- Manufacturing/Industrial experience (great asset);
- Must have access to a vehicle as location is not bus accessible.
