IPA Education Publishing Company of the Year is looking for a Full Stack Web Developer to join our team in beautiful Vancouver.

We publish revolutionary education textbooks for children, train thousands of teachers and schools around the world, produce desirable online teaching materials for teachers and we love every minute of it!

As an Full Stack Developer you will be joining a team of developers building and
maintaining a complex infrastructure and isomorphic ReactJS web application.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

● Execution of our web growth strategy, spanning web products, testing, and automation
● Technical design, development, and delivery of web-based applications and services
● Create application pages to be responsive, fast, and easy-to-maintain by other developers
and content editors
● Contribute in making software development design decisions
Teachnical Skills + Requirements: 5+ years development experience
● JavaScript - specifically ES6, ReactJS, NodeJS
● Git version control, HTML5, CSS3, and build tools such a Yarn, NPM
● Building web products that are Responsive, Localized and Accessible (specifically WCAG 2.0
Level AA)
● Data security best practices
● Developing and executing functional and integration tests
● Developing relational databases with MySQL
● Working with and developing microservices
● Working and understanding all stages of software development
● Reviewing and participating in meaningful code reviews on Github
● Effectively communicating to both technical and non-technical team members
● JIRA / Confluence
● Assist with Cloud instance management and maintenance
● Using automated deployment tools - specifically CircleCI
● Understanding of working with AWS products and services - specifically (EC2, S3, Cognito,
CloudFront, WAF, Docker, Redis)
● Working in an Agile/scrum environment with large team
● (GDPR compliant)
● Familiarity with Product life cycle

Personal Skills + Education:

● Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science, computer engineering or related technical
discipline or equivalent industry experience
● Driven to succeed in a fast pace and continuously evolving environment
● Passionate about delivering high quality software and best user experience possible
● Have a positive attitude with good interpersonal skills and is approachable and supports
● Ability to multitask and prioritize
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
● Solid work ethic, strives to meet and exceed expectations
