We have an immediate requirement for a IT operations consultant for a short term contract in the heart of downtown Toronto. The successful candidate must live within a short commutable distance from downtown Toronto and will have the following responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibilities:
• Install and manage Countertack Sentinel agents on all endpoints.
• Install and manage the deployment of Big Fix agents on all endpoints.
• Remediate any agent issues (Kaspersky, Countertack Sentinel, Big Fix) on all endpoints.
• Assist with patch management for all endpoints.
• Administer SCCM, Kaspersky.
• Maintain users, groups and Organizational Units in Active Directory.
• Design, maintain and test Group Policies.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of Office 365.
• Exchange 2010 Administration.
• Administer Sharepoint 2013.
• Office 365/OneDrive/Sharepoint Online Administration.
• DOS & PowerShell scripting for Windows and O365.
• Monitor and maintain backup and DR systems.
• To prepare and deploy Desktop Imaging.
• To provide all aspects of technical support for Windows based systems and SQL Server database in a proactive and reactive mode and ensure the systems perform within the terms of their respective service level agreements.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, processes and procedures.
• Provide status reports of projects to management.
• Support and adhere to corporate IT security policies.


Qualifications:

• Excellent working knowledge of Windows operating system administration and MS SQL administration Server.
• Minimum of five years of work experience in IT support.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for interaction with corporate users.
• Experience working with third party and cloud-based vendors.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating System and Windows Server Administration.
• Knowledge of incident, problem and change management process implementation.
• A self-starter with the ability to work on tight timelines.
• Need to be conscientious and see problems through to a completion with a high emphasis on problem ownership.
• Able to organize time effectively on a daily and weekly basis with a high emphasis on efficient self-time management; reporting problems and requesting assistance as required.
• Excellent attention to detail, diligence and professionalism necessary for a business support role.
• Will have experience of working as part of team.
• Competent at multi-tasking and prioritization; highly organized in prioritizing system support & maintenance against business cycles.
