Are you a top-performing Legal Assistant with over 5 years experience? Do you enjoy supporting lawyers and law clerks and making sure your team is set up for success? Do you enjoy client interaction and working as part of a team to provide the best possible service to your clients? Do you have a very strong understanding of the rules of civil procedure? what you will do:

• manage a file through the civil litigation process
• work in various types of litigation like malpractice, subrogation, product liability, class actions, commercial fraud, franchise disputes, and director liability
• assist with billing (coordinating with accounting department)
• managing correspondence
• editing documents such as drafts, reports, presentations, making minor edits where needed
• work directly with clients
• track file progress and provide updates
• calendar management, meeting management, expenses, and travel

who you are:

• ideally 5 years experience in civil or commercial litigation
• strong attention to detail
• ability to keep calm under pressure
• loves working in a legal environment
• open to receiving feedback on the fly
• ability to work well in a team
• love seeing the end result of a case
• patience to see a file through to the end
• positive attitude and loves to go with the flow
