We are currently recruiting for a Mixer Operator (Batch Mixer) within a food production/distribution environment.

Pay: $15.00/hr

Location: Laird and Collegeway (South Mississauga)

Shift: Training shift: 10 am to 9:30 pm
Day shift: 730 am - 7 pm
Night shift: 730 pm - 7 am

Duration: Ongoing long term work based on ATTENDANCE & PERFORMANCE

• Prepare and accurately scale raw materials
• Line setup for production / Depositing
• Ensure adherence to production schedules by monitoring mixing activities
• Ensure all daily paper work is complete, accurately recorded and documented
• Work efficiently, independently and in conjunction with the production process
• Observe, adjust or report any equipment alterations required for ease of production
• Assure all production assigned is performed in accordance with specifications, procedures and GMP’s.
• Meet production standards within a reasonable time
• Perform in accordance with established safety policies and procedures
• Adhere to QA policies and programs
• Ensure Food Safety SOP's and GMP's are followed
• Ensure work area and equipment is kept clean and safe from hazards.
• Provide back-up production associate relief as required
• Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience mixing in a food manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of HACCP/BRC an asset
• Work in a safe manner and possess basic knowledge in health & safety regulations
• Ability to lift heavy objects (50lbs)
• Good time management skills, punctual and reliable
• Able to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Read, write and understand English language
• Communicate and cooperate with management and coworkers
• Shift flexibility required; possibly to include weekends
• Willing to work overtime as required
