We are currently looking for a Manager, Valuation Control to support our client, a leading global bank, in their Downtown Toronto office. In this role you will work full time hours on a 10 month assignment, and earn a competitive rate between $40-$50 per hour, based on your experience. As a Manager, Valuation Control you will be responsible for performing/reviewing the daily and monthly controls of the trading books for the relevant Front Office desks and developing an informed view of these controls. This includes P&L reporting, analysis of trading revenues through attribution, explanation of actual to flash variances, and writing daily commentaries. Valuation Control is the first line of defense to ensure proper marks on books and records as well as guard against inappropriate trading. This includes but is not limited to:

• Daily P&L review (MTM and risk based attribution).
• Preparation/review of daily consolidated financial packs for Front Office
• Daily meeting with Front Office to review pack
• Trader flash to actual review and escalation of continued issues
• FVA calculation around IPV, Model and Market data uncertainty, CVA/DVA, Liquidity (Bid/Ask), etc.
• Off Market rate Check (OMRC) & Cancel and Amends (C&A) review / sample checks.
• MTD P&L commentary (P&L, IPV, Impairments).
• KRI submission and review.
• WIRE submissions and dealing with any queries / questions.
• Month-end reporting true ups and reviews.

• 3 - 7 years of experience in a Valuation Control or Product Control role
• Bachelors degree in Finance / Economics / Mathematics / Statistics
• Preferred excellent track record of experience in a Valuation Control or Product Control role
• Theoretical / working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
• Working knowledge of Excel, Access and VBA
