MANUAL LATHE MACHINIST - Richmond Hill Day Shift

Are you a skilled manual/ conventional machinist looking for a full time permanent position on a straight DAY shift in the Richmond Hill area? Check out this great opportunity!


- Read and interpret fabrication and part drawings
- Set up and operate Manual Lathe(s) to facilitate optimum production rates, maintain required tolerances, and maximize tool life
- Manufacture parts according to drawings and/or specifications
- Verify accuracy of finished machined parts using precise measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges etc.)
- Adhere to the Project Management schedule(s) ensuring equipment downtime is minimized and plant is running efficiently
- May be called upon to also use manual mills, drills, etc. in order to complete parts
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
- Perform all of the above in compliance with safety regulations and any applicable code(s)

- Minimum 6 months experience setting up and operating Lathes in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to understand fabrication drawings, CAD drawings, and an understanding of GD&T
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools
- Computer literate
- Overhead crane experience / certification is an asset
