Manufacturing Process Engineer

On behalf of our client North of London, we are recruiting for Process Engineer for an opportunity in a busy Manufacturing environment. This very “hands on” role could involve some travel, and mentoring and coaching junior team members.

The primary responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
•Designing, building, maintaining and improving machines and tools within the plant facility
•Lead process improvements for safety, quality, reliability, cost and moral
•Data Driven with attention to detail, Familiar with Safety Critical Process Requirements, Capability
•Review actual process measurements from Quality for Process Capability and change process parameters to meet quality expectations, ensure repeatable results
•Maintain ongoing process control through data review, daily scrap review, root cause analysis and develop corrective actions
•Prepare technical documentation, process instructions for line technicians,
•Develop process parameters for new customer product on new and existing processes to ensure quality and efficiency targets.
•Open, Honest Communication, timely feedback, self sufficient

Required Qualifications:
•College Diploma or University degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
•Minimum 4 years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment and TS16949 awareness and adherence
•Demonstrated experience in manufacturing equipment installation and maintenance
•Experience with Robot applications ABB, Fanuc, CNC milling process and PLC logic
•Knowledge of PLC Programming Allen Bradley , Siemens
•Experience in Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical Circuits
•Familiar with the OH&S Act and Regulations and PSHSR
•Experience with measurement systems and hands-on use of gauges and fixtures
•Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Solid Works, Minitab, Visio, MS Office)
•Experience/Understanding of CO2 Laser Score Process, able to correct ABB robot path.
