Our client, a fast-growing, national contractor in the telecommunications industry is seeking a talented, motivated individual who is looking for a challenging and rewarding position on a fast-moving team. We are looking for a high-level senior operations professional.
The role requires a dynamic and flexible skill set that combines field experience, technical knowledge and the ability to plan and manage large scale projects.

Reporting to the Vice President, the ideal candidate will be a visionary leader for the overall MDU (multi dwelling unit) program. He/she will focus on meeting one overarching goal, business objectives and developing strategic plans to achieve division goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage operational supervisors and ensure day to day operations are on track.
• Daily program monitoring to ensure units are delivered to customers are on target.
• Work with operations to make adjustments to achieve targets.
• Authorize hiring and terminations
• Work with senior management to develop mobilization strategies to achieve growth.
• Liaison with customer – provide updates and identifies new opportunities.
• Approves designs, managers design team
• Manages supervisors and design team.
• Ensures QA standards are met.
• Ensure OHS policies and procedures adhere to travel -> frequent as required to ensure objectives are met and customer meeting, etc.

• Very analytical skill set
• MDU FTTH knowledge at the management level
• Building infrastructure – residential
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Reporting and Administrative experience
• Strong interpersonal skills (including conflict management and negotiation)
• Exceptional time-management and leadership skills
• The successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal record check
• Valid driver’s license and reasonable driver abstract
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on emergency call outs as required
• Willingness to travel

Experience Required:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operational supervision of work flow, specific to telecommunications
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in in senior level management duties, including management over multiple
projects and geographic locations

Additional Requirements:
• Experience with client management and negotiation
• Experience maintaining a budget and maintaining customer expectations on deliverables
• Experience managing large fibre optic builds
