Our client in the Burlington area has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Mechanical Designer to join their team!
As a Mechanical Designer, you would be a part of a team who develops new machine designs, modifies existing designs and upgrades existing equipment.

Specific responsibilities would include:
- Participate in design development meetings and prepare design concept models for review.
- Create or revise accurate, detailed SolidWorks models, AutoCAD drawings, BOM’s, and other engineering documentation as required
- Participate in design and drawing reviews, shop floor troubleshooting, prototype builds and documentation preparation.

As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
- 5+ years of experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD in a mechanical heavy-equipment environment required
- Experience with design, selection and integration of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatically actuated equipment in a 3D design environment
- Experience in general automation, material handling, robotics, automotive sector mechanical design.
- Experience with robot envelope/robot reach analysis. Plant/equipment layout using AutoCAD
