The Client creating Canada's largest independent digital wealth management platform is looking for a node.js developer to bring into their Downtown office;


Responsibilities;

-Designing and building out the Nest Wealth platform and REST APIs using Node.
-Writing maintainable, testable, and performant code.
-Refactoring legacy code to leverage newer/better methodologies (focused on Node 8).
-Keeping up to date with best practices and tooling from the JavaScript community.
-Collaborating with your team to solve problems and learn from failures.

Requirements;

-In depth JavaScript knowledge (ES6 and beyond) coupled with 2+ years of experience in Node.
-Experience with Mongo and MySQL.
-A solid understanding of Promises (we use Bluebird).
-A real passion for learning and staying up to date with best practices.
-Experience with enterprise level SDLC and automation.
-Excellent debugging skills.

Pluses:

-Experience with AWS.
-Experience with the open source community.
-Knowledge and use of TypeScript, D3, Node8.
-A familiarity with financial and investment terminology and theories.
