Randstad is now looking for a Regional Operations Manager for company in the skilled trades sector of Victoria. We are looking for a highly motivated, organized and charismatic Operations Manager who is excited to be part of well established company.

The Operations Manager will oversee key warehouse functions and teams in shipping and receiving, inventory management, and distribution. The manager will work with internal teams to understand business objectives and ensure operational capability to meet/exceed these objectives

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the enforcement of policies, procedures, and Health and Safety regulations
• Manage coordination of the Shipping, Warehouse, Operations, and Transportation teams
• Provide clear direction to team members
• Oversee customer service, order entry and store management for Shipping, Warehouse, Operations, and Transportation departments
• Ensure the operation is staffed appropriately to meet all performance requirements
• Review efficiencies of labour, equipment and capital utilization
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by delivery schedules and work flow
• Perform all functions of operations processes and operate all related equipment
• Ability to assist in loading and unloading trucks, driving a forklift, and receiving stock
• Coordinate maintenance and inspections on equipment
• Collect, analyze, and summarize operational data and trends
• Develop performance goals and objectives for the operations and monitors the achievement of those goals
• Conduct performance management reviews and provide discipline
• Promote a positive working environment


• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of the construction industry is required
• Strong leadership skills
• Physically demanding
• Excellent time management skills
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent computer and business organization software proficiency
• Proven ability to work in a team environment
