Are you a career payroll professional with 10 years' of payroll processing experience and prides themselves on their attention to detail, accuracy and customer service and business partnering skills? Are you open to or ideally seeking a permanent role located in downtown Toronto, keen on the idea of being a part of a well-recognized organization and would love to work in a beautiful, state-of-the-art office environment?

In terms of your technical areas of strength, do you have experience with Workday or another payroll processing software like ADP or Ceridian? Have you processed high-volume, complex payroll for an organization with multiple legal entities?

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Process a semi-monthly, bi-weekly, quarterly and monthly paperless payroll
• Process payroll for multiple entities in BC, Ontario, Quebec, and Alberta
• Process payroll adjustments
• Manage the year-end process, including tax filings, year-end tax forms, tax summaries, etc.
• Partner with the Compensation Team to ensure annual bonus payments are processed accurately
• Partner with Government agencies for government remittances, including WSIB remittances
• Liaise with internal and external Auditors
• Administer payroll for garnishments, leaves, return to work, and annual RRSP
• Partner with Benefits Team to ensure the payroll is administered accurately employee share purchase program, pension and benefit contributions
• Generate ROE's and amendments
• Manage the year-end process by proofing and balancing taxes, pension adjustments, T4’s and Releve1’s
• Review, analyze and verify payroll reports and documents to ensure accuracy

• A minimum of 10 years' of payroll administration experience
• PCP/CPM designation is a strong asset
• Bilingualism in English/French not required but a strong asset
• Experience with Workday preferred but not required
• High attention to detail and accuracy is an absolute must
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills required to be an effective business partner
• Ability to process high-volume payroll (1000+) across various legal entities
