Are you a fan of the art of the deal? Are you a great judge when it comes to selecting vendors? Are you a skilled procurement professional (advisor/adviser, manager) with experience developing scoring criteria and selection processes for services specifically (example: HR services, payroll services, SaaS, security services, networking, internet, etc.)? Do you have experience working in procurement in the Ontario Public Sector, the Federal government of Canada, or another provincial government? Are you a straight talker that doesn't beat around the bush and knows how to negotiate to get a fair deal for everyone? If you are a procurement professional with great experience and strong knowledge of designing procurement programs and want to work for a great organization located in the west end of Toronto, then keep reading.

what you will do

• conduct analyses to determine what changes would be needed in the existing selection process
• create and maintain a formal procurement strategy
• provide professional insight and input to C-Level and board executives
• work with a high level of scrutiny, transparency, and ethical standards
• create procurement documentation and scorecards
• assist in the actual selection of service providers
• collaborate with different leaders across the organization

who you are

• comfortable reporting into the director of finance
• strong and efficient communicator
• relationship-builder
• strong negotiator
• analytical
• comfortable with an organization in a state of change (for the good)
• excited to work for an organization that is dedicated to health and safety
• strong experience designing RFPs and RFS
• team player and collaborative
• takes initiative
• potential legal background (LLB or LLM) but not mandatory
• experience drafting and negotiating terms
