Do you have procurement experience in a custom manufacturing environment? Do you love the thrill of closing a deal?? Our client in Burlington has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Procurement Specialist to join their growing team!

In this role, responsibilities would include:
- Ensure on time, on budget and defect free delivery of procured products and services
- Analyze category spend / trends and develop and implement cost reduction strategies, involving cross functional teams, to achieve year over year cost reduction goals
- Develop and foster strong business relationships with suppliers and internal customers (engineering, production, sales)
- Increase company's overall operational efficiency through supplier and transaction consolidation
- Drive supplier quality programs and score cards to achieve zero NCR's on procured products
- Administer PO's ensuring accuracy, completeness of attachments and zero variances on 3 way matching
- Update and publish weekly delivery status reports
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts

As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
- 2+ years of procurement experience
- Experience in a custom manufacturing environment, involving steel fabrications, mechanical, electrical and controls equipment would be ideal
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficient in supplier qualification and development
- Strong analytical and innovative problem solving skills
- Strong internal and external customer focus and a desire to achieve win-win results
- Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities
- Experience working with ERP Systems
- Post secondary education and/or certifications in Supply Chain field would be considered a strong asset
