Production Shop Supervisor – Ottawa East

Responsibilities of the Production Shop Supervisor:
• Supervising a team of a minimum of 5 including skilled trades, laborers and supervisors
• Provide guidance, training and coaching to team members
• Communicate with the management team on orders and deadlines
• Assist in the shop as needed, providing support to ensure deadlines are met
• Oversee raw material and shop supplies, ensuring materials are ordered and received on time
• Motivate team members and implement process improvement initiatives


Advantages
• 3 weeks’ vacation (negotiable)
• Shift: 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm
• Salary: $40/hour based on experience
• Occasional overtime after 40 hours paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate
• Benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability
• Working in a small yet dynamic team


Qualifications
• Experience supervising and working with professionals in the skilled trades
• Proven leadership and coaching skills
• 3 years’ experience as a Shop Supervisor
• Knowledge of Health and Safety guideline
• Ability to work under pressure in an organized and controlled manner
• Good customer service to ensure the company is well represented to clients
