Program Manager

Our client west of London is looking for a Program Manager, supporting the Manufacturing and Engineering teams in their facility, in the Automotive Industry. They are offering a competitive salary and benefit package. This is a great opportunity to join a growing organization for someone that has hands on manufacturing skills, very organized and team orientated, focused on product development and supporting their customers through engineering change, launch and quality concerns.

Program Manager Qualifications:
• Degree/Diploma in Engineering
• 5 years’ experience in AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURING
• Past experience in launches of new products
• Excellent Communication skills, both oral and written
• Good working knowledge of APQP, process flow, FMEA, Control Plans, Gauge R&R’s and capability studies
• Must have a good working knowledge in GD&T
• Show initiative, self-discipline, leadership in team environment, project and time management skills
• Know the ethical and legal obligations outlined in the Engineering Code of Ethics
• Working knowledge of fixtures and gauging
• Ability to read layout reports and make decisions on process changes based on the information.
• Proficient MS Office: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, and MS Project.
• AutoCAD or other computer graphic/drafting related experience would be an asset.
• Understanding of the OH&S Act and Regulations as well as legislative and customer requirements for item specifications.
• Knowledge and adherence to relevant procedures and legislation
• PMP/Prince2 certification is highly desirable

Program Manager Responsibilities:
• Launch and Support Programs: Assist in the development of quality systems to satisfy customer requirements
• Communication: Ensure communication of process / part changes to customer, required by management system documents and procedures
• Customers: Interface with the customers on Engineering issues and program status.
• Support product development at the customer level by providing technical guidance and support in the area of product design
• Troubleshooting: Participate in troubleshooting production problems by seeking solutions that preserve design intent of fit, form and function
• Safety: Provide safe work environments and practices
• Participate and support employee training in the safe use of equipment and facilities
• Other duties as required, including special projects as they arise
