Project Engineer
Calgary, AB

Are you an Engineer with strong project management experience and are looking for your next adventure and challenge? If so, this position may be for you!

Project Engineer duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

•Accountable for Engineering Coordination and managing all Engineering Interfaces
•Preparation and presentation of engineering execution plans as part of Project execution
•Updating of the engineering execution plan during the life cycle of various projects
•Contract review of technical requirements with the various disciplines
•Organization of internal project kick off meetings
•Ensure execution of engineering is in line with engineering schedule
•Preparation of Engineering Deliverable List, Purchase Requisition List and IDC Document Distribution Matrix
•Ensuring that various log & registers are maintained and up to date
•Coordination and support of various studies related to engineering
•Continuous monitoring of engineering progress
•Interfacing with all discipline team on day to day basis
•Organization of Inter discipline checks as per our client’s Generated Document/Drawing Review & Approval procedure
•Organization of approval process of documents as required
•Preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports
•Preparation of the balance activity list and prioritization of the same
•Interfacing with document control on day to day basis to ensure the Master document register and Vendor document registers are current and up to date
•Organization of meetings with customers and vendors for clarifications and project updates
•Expedition of the release of on time procurement requisitions
•Ensure quick quality checks on the deliverables being released to customers or manufacturing
•Be responsible to make quick quality checks on deliverables being released to customers or manufacturing
•Continual interfacing with internal customers such as project management, manufacturing, procurement, quality assurance & controls
•Management of on time procurement requisitions
•Maintaining of good interpersonal relationships with leads of other disciplines
•Maintaining of positive relationship with our client’s customers and vendors

Project Engineer Qualifications

•Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical Discipline)
•Eight (8) plus years of related work experience with a minimum of five (5) years in similar position with EPC or Detail Engineering Organization
• Produced Water experience is a must
• Able to travel international from time to time (10%)
•Knowledge of Various International Standards such as API, ASME, GOST, IEC, NEC
•Computer Literacy with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft word, planning tools, etc.
•Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
•Ability to multi-task and work on tight schedules
