job description

 Prepares monthly client financial statements according to GAAP/IFRS and conducts comprehensive variance analysis and commentaries regarding variances against budget
 Maintains monthly and annual general ledger account reconciliation working papers
 Prepares bank reconciliations, reconciles accounts receivable/payable and security deposit sub-ledgers
 Prepares monthly revenue, operating cost and realty tax accruals
 Maintains straight line rent (free rent & tenant inducement), fixed asset and prepaid continuity schedules
 Manages and supports monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting cycles by:
o Reviewing and validating leasing revenue and operating expenses assumptions;
o Calculates CAM & TAX recoveries by tenant by property;
o Calculates straight-line rent and amortization expenses;
o Manages forecasting and budgeting life cycle (draft, revision, and final) stages to ensure completion within assigned deadlines;
o Maintains forecasting and budgeting templates and associated decision support tools.
 Maintains tenant CAM & TAX recovery templates in accordance with tenant lease terms
 Prepares tenant year end CAM and Tax billings/invoicing in accordance with tenant lease terms
 Prepares non-rent roll tenant AR chargeback invoices as requested by site offices
 Reviews and validates that lease summary abstracts reflect the terms of executed leases

Qualifications
 Minimum 5 years of Property Accounting experience (commercial, /or retail) required including full cycle property accounting, and financial statement preparation
 CPA designation, actively pursuing CPA, or equivalent experience combined with University degree or post-secondary education preferably in finance, real estate accounting, or real estate management.
 Possess strong organizational, analytical, time management and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
 Proactive, results-oriented, and resourceful and can meet deadlines without compromising on accuracy, product quality and attention to detail.
 Effective communication skills both orally and written, can function in a team and develop and sustain working relationships
 Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs Knowledge of Yardi Voyager
