Your experience in customer prospecting, business development, electricity and natural gas markets, along with a proven track record of contracting, will be helpful to success in this role.Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:- Build and manage strong relationships with existing and prospective customers and / or partners to identify, develop, and execute new opportunities- Evaluate and actively prospect new opportunities from a commercial, financial, and strategic perspective- Collect customer intelligence, insights, and work as part of an integrated team to create new business opportunities; participate in the customer bidding process- Implementing strategies to acquire new customers and to enhance revenue growth opportunities with existing customers- Monitor and quantify profitability and risk for current customers and contracts, and recommend appropriate actions- Prepare and present economic analysis, proposals and agreements, and business opportunity summaries to management and customers- Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the Company’s available services, lines of business, pricing structures, and offers additional services as appropriate to assigned existing customers- Schedules and completes proactive customer calls and visits and captures key information in the information systems- Performs contractual re-signs on existing customers to extend customer relationship and increase customer profitability where appropriate- Proactively communicates with or responds to customers in support of pricing initiatives- Regularly meets with team to review key customer metrics and progress versus goals, partners with the operations team, when needed, to address customer services issues- Builds relationships and increases our visibility through participation in company- sponsored activities, trade shows, and other similar activities- Performs other job-related duties as assignedWHAT SHOULD YOU HAVE?- Successful track record of selling and closing contracts preferably in the electricity and natural gas commercial & industrial market segment- Experience in retail energy market, natural gas or electricity- Possess prior experience selling consultative services with a deep understanding of doing needs analysis- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in direct / outside sales and marketing consultative selling- An established network of large commercial or industrial accounts in the electric utility or natural gas industry- Strong desire to succeed and ethically move customers to transacting electricity and natural gas contracts- Superior interpersonal, communication and presentation, and analytical skills- Strong computer skills, including establishing rapport with clients through regular contact by phone and in person- Must have excellent product and customer knowledge to educate customers on pricing and application of competitive advantages to meet or exceed customer needs- Positive professional demeanour and appearance to act as a positive representative of the company in front of clients and in the local business community, as needed- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines; works well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment- Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities, taking on new expanded responsibilities as required- Demonstrated team player with the ability to work independentlyWHAT WILL YOU GET?- Very competitive base salary based on your years of experience- 100% paid by employer benefits, some of which extended vision, medical, dental, that commence on day one- 3 weeks vacation to start then 4 weeks within 1 year of service- Attractive Sales Incentives and Commission - Our company offers exciting new opportunities, financial assistance to support continuous learning and growth, and that is looking for motivated individuals who want to add value and foster a great organizational cultureThank you for your interest and application.
