Our client, one of Canada's top banks, is hiring a Reconciliation officer for a 7 month contract. The position is responsible for ensuring daily reconciliation of cash, security, capital stock (unitholders) and withholding tax relating to individual funds are identified and resolved in a timely manner. As well, this position will ensure that matching rules are developed to auto match 95% of the items to be reconciled.

Operational Duties and Service Delivery
 Perform daily reconciliations, identify and clear outstanding items on assigned accounts with the use of QTS and/or e-mails.
 Collaborate with internal and external parties to resolve issues.
 Escalate items outside normal clearing period.
 Responsible for maintaining workflow efficiency and quality within the team.

 Solid 2 years Funds industry and/or financial markets experience (Custodian/Fund Manager/Broker, Financial Institution).
 Proven experience in a reconciliation environment.
 Previous analytical exposure is desirable.
 Ability to work accurately under pressure.
 Willingness to take on new challenges.
 Independent, confident, self motivating.
 University degree or equivalent. (Accounting or Finance is preferred)
 IFIC Operations Course preferred.
 Strong analytical and organizational skills.
 Strong reconciliation/accounting skills.
 Team player.
 Knowledge of Dealer/Broker back-office systems (FundServ, CSS) an asset.
 Excellent communications (written & oral) skills.
 Excellent working knowledge of Word and Excel, tech savvy.
