Would you enjoy an opportunity to help build new processes in a leading Canadian bank? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you!

We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support our client, one of the big 5 banks, in their downtown Toronto office! In this role you will work full time hours on a 6 month assignment, and earn a competitive rate of up to $51 per hour.

As a Senior Financial Analyst you will be responsible for the development of reporting models to support deliverables for a variety of different partners, senior executives, and committees. In addition to managing reporting deadlines, the role is responsible to assist carrying out research and analysis, identify and understand key industry trends promoting operational excellence, interpreting benchmarking studies, leveraging operational KPI’s to help identify gaps to best practice and quantify opportunities.This will include:

• Reporting and Analysis – Being accountable for supporting effective consolidation and validation of program investment and benefits forecast financial information. It carries out detailed analysis of the program including actual results and forecast, provide strategic/value-added insights, identify significant variances versus plan and targets, identify key issues, understand underlying assumptions, work with partners to narrate variance explanations, and present results in meaningful form to management.
• Research and Analysis - Supporting best practices research and comparative analysis utilizing a variety of internal and external sources. Developing value-added insights on key short term and long term market trends as well as company performance vs. Canadian market and international markets. Researching, interpreting and analyzing relevant benchmarking information from various sources for the industry.
• Relationship Management and Teamwork - Exceeding client expectations by providing on-going support to senior management and key partners. Acting as the lead contact for the Director / Senior Director, Infrastructure Finance with respect to all key issues. Managing working relationships with Internal service providers (support groups) on behalf of Infrastructure Finance. Maintaining strong and effective relationships with leaders and support roles across the bank.

Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, systems and processes (e.g. Essbase, CFR, IPS, etc.)
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (using macros, formulas and pivots) and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability for reporting and data modelling, to organize and manipulate large volumes of data to draw meaningful conclusions that incorporate data, in chart and table formats, clearly presenting key facts and details, to support overall messages of a presentation.
