Are you a payroll specialist looking to take your career to the next level? Our client within Health + Education is seeking an experienced payroll professional to join their team for a temporary to ongoing contract.

Location: Downtown, Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:
• Full payroll cycle for hourly and salaried employees in a timely manner (300+ employees)
• Analyzing and reconciliation of payroll input and output per policies and procedures
• Processing and verifying payroll transactions (overtime, vacation pay, statutory holidays, payroll deductions and other payroll transactions)
• Processing documentation for employee tax purposes (T4)
• Processing year-end reports as needed
• Corresponding with employees, supervisors and management on all payroll and EI inquiries
• Calculating and prepare pay adjustments, termination pays or special payments in compliance with company and legislated policy
• All other related duties as required

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ working experience in professional services
• Professional working experience processing payroll for a mid to large number of employees
• Exposure to US and Canadian payroll is an asset
• Experience with Ceridian and or Dayforce strongly preferred
• Ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Strong multitasking skills
• Thorough knowledge of payroll-related legislation
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
