Service Technician - Hamilton

Our client, an industry leader in fueling solutions is looking for a Service Technician to join their team immediately in Hamilton on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate would possess a strong mechanical aptitude in addition to RST Certification and would ideally have CNG Experience.

Salary: $28-32.00 per Hour + Annual Bonus
Cellphone and laptop provided
Vehicle and expenses provided and covered
Certification renewals covered by company

Hours and Location
Day Shifts: 40 Hour Work Week Minimum, Over-time as needed
Shift Rotation may be required to cover for vacation coverage, employee sick leave or other reasons
Working from your truck and at multiple client sites as assigned for Hamilton region

Job Requirements:
•RST Certification is required OR Minimum Level 3 Gas Technician
•CNG – Compressed Natural Gas Experience is an asset
•Valid Driver’s license and a clean drivers abstract
•Strong written and oral communication, excellent attendance and ability to work independently
•Ability to write reports and present information to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
•Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 lbs.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
•Respond to emergency and after-hour service call-outs as required

Job Responsibilities:
•Perform the assigned work in an efficient and professional manner
•Understand the operational and technical function of the equipment being serviced and to provide the maintenance requirements that ensure it is operating safely, reliably and at its optimal performance
•Trouble-shoot equipment problems, identify the parts requiring repair or replacement and perform the repairs in an efficient and timely manner
•Collect and report equipment information, outstanding issues, service reports, parts used or required, work performed, labour time and any expenses incurred
•Complete all applicable Quality records, time cards, expense reports and other applicable reports in a timely fashion and actively uses the systems of the department
•Respond to emergency and after-hour service call-outs as per the assigned schedule
•Operate assigned company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner while obeying all applicable laws. This includes ensuring the vehicle is properly maintained, remains presentable, clean and for all parts and tools to be properly stored, accounted and be organized
•Solicit sales of new or additional services in an efficient, professional and courteous manner
•This position requires being tactful and patient with customers and maintaining proper communication within the Technical Services department
•Offer product support and technical assistance as required and follow up to ensure a timely resolution is achieved
•Maintain a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity, and continued improvement
•Complete all applicable quality records; Perform work in accordance with policies and procedures
