Randstad is currently recruiting for a full time Shipping Specialist in the Vars area. This is a long term placement with a growing company in the East end of the city!


We are looking for candidates with a positive "can do" attitude who enjoy team work and have strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills.


As the Shipping Specialist you will be responsible for counting, scanning, bagging, and packaging orders for shipment. The successful applicant will also be able to use their experience to ascertain the best shipping methods for materials by using their knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.

Advantages

Participating in decision making regarding which carriers to use

Organizing and maintaining daily shipping schedules

Verifying and keeping records on all shipping records

Tracing missing or misplaced shipments

Qualifications
- Certification and experience shipping dangerous goods

- Knowledge of how to complete NAFTA and customs forms as well as global shipments

- Ability to look up and determine tariff codes

- Experience with ERP systems is an asset

- Minimum two years of shipping experience
