Description

Our client is currently seeking applications for an experienced Senior Director, Buildings who will be positioned in our Edmonton, Kelowna or Calgary office. We are sourcing qualified individuals, with 20 or more years of experience in the Buildings Engineering sector. The successful candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, experience in Buildings Engineering combined with great management and business development skills.

Responsibilities
• Develop and supervise a multidisciplinary design team
• Building Engineering – familiar and/or proficient with the following type of projects:
• Commercial, institutional, governmental, educational, light industrial facilities
• Mission Critical Facilities (emergency response centres, data centres, POP sites)
• Healthcare facilities (hospitals, clinics, laboratories)
• District energy plants
• Manage and source business development activities

Qualifications
• Degree in mechanical, electrical, or structural engineering – P. Eng. or P. Tech., registered in Alberta, and eligible for registration in British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.
• 20 or more years of relevant experience
• Capacity to interact within a multidisciplinary environment is necessary
• Proven management competencies
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Entrepreneurial expertise that will contribute to the growth of the business line
• Capability to interact with our client base in order to understand their problems and recommend solutions
• Strong project management experience
• Bilingual French/English would be an asset
• LEED certification will be considered as an asset
• Detailed understanding of project proposal writing
