On behalf of our client, a global supplier of high precision engine components such as severe-duty and high performance valve train, fuel injection components for heavy equipment within the agricultural, construction, marine, and transportation industries; we are supporting their recruit for a Supplier Quality Engineer.

Job Responsibilities:
•Monitor supplier performance and ensure supplier performance reporting is completed on a regular basis
•Develop long-term supplier relationships to generate and implement cost reduction improvements
•Communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s
•Root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers as necessary to eliminate non-conformance
•Drive compliance by conducting supplier audits (IATF 16949/ ISO 9001) and resolve supplier issues in a timely manner
•Define PPAP requirements for suppliers and evaluate and qualify new supplier materials following a defined new product development process
•Interface with Engineering, Production and purchasing groups to resolve supplier process and materials concerns.
•“Zero Defect” mentality within the supply base
•Strong communication, problem-solving and team work skills

Job Requirements:
•Certified Quality Engineer or Equivalent Work Experience
•5+ Years in Quality in Manufacturing
•Auditor training (ISO / TS)
•AIAG Core Tools Training
•Strong experience with Microsoft Office Applications
•Background in metallurgy - castings and forgings is an asset
•Flexible and able to travel internationally
