what will you be doing?

• Corporate re-organizations
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns
• Tax planning
• Estate planning
• Addressing CRA queries
• Maintaining and managing client relationships
• Serving as a frontline consultant to clients under direction of Partner
• Leading, organizing and preparing review engagements
• Coordinating tax advisory and planning engagements, including drafting written memorandums and instruction letters
• Remaining up to date on new tax legislation and case law
• Providing mentoring and technical guidance to the staff and members of the firm
• Building relationships with clients to be a trusted Business Advisor

Do you have the right qualification?

• Possess a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, CA or other accounting designation
• Is a CPA member in good standing
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior Corporate Tax role, with at least 3 years in a management capacity
• Senior Tax Manager with strong analytical skills, the ability to identify and research tax issues and the creative spark to formulate innovative solutions
• Has an excellent understanding of CRA regulations
• A proven leader with strong business development and entrepreneurial skills
• Exceptional strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Superior problem solving skills, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Strong analytical capability, sound business sense and creative mind that have earned you a reputation of providing excellence in client service
• Ability to manage, develop, retain and mentor junior accounting technicians
• Private practice experience is preferred
