I am looking to hire a Senior PM or Delivery Manager for a permanent role in Downtown Ottawa! Must be an expert in MS technologies and Development Projects. Responsibilities:

 Designing and developing new products based on customer requirements
 Lead application architecture/design sessions collecting input from the development team and
having accountability for the overall solution
 Manage application development from initial inception of ideas to delivery including technical
design and coding standards
 Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance
 Ensure that team and work priorities are identified and that work assignments are appropriately
delegated to meet deadlines, service levels and goals within an Agile/Scrum environment
 Grow team expertise to meet demand and to support technology direction; always look for
ways to enhance value delivered
 Provide leadership and guidance to hire, coach, motivate, and lead a performance-driven team
of developers to achieve their full potential

 Work closely with the developers to architect and implement best-in-class technical designs and
approaches
 Effective development and execution of key deliverables that meet productivity, quality of
service and business plan goals
 Ensure technical and quality standards are enforced throughout the software development
lifecycle
 Research and monitor technology developments and industry trends, and assess their
applicability, functionality and reliability as it relate to the product
 Translate high-level business requirements and/or present complex technical information in a
clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
 Review and ensure all developed designs are sound, scalable and maintainable
 Create and maintain source code that interacts with an RDBMS
 Create and modify code and software
 Create and modify screens and reports
 Lead application support activities in order to resolve incidents and identify root causes
 Lead requirements review and technical design sessions providing technical guidance to
developers
 Orchestrating test strategies for unit and integration testing

Qualifications:
 University Degree or College Diploma in computer science, business administration, information
systems or other related discipline.
 A minimum of 10 years of work experience in IT or business environment
 A minimum of 7 years’ experience architecting and building Microsoft web solutions for a multi-
tenant architecture.
 A minimum of 7 years experience working in a web-based service oriented architecture
 A minimum of 5 years experience managing teams to deliver complex applications, including 3
years relevant experience with Agile software development methodologies
 A minimum of 3 years experience with software development best practices, including coding
standards and code reviews
 Must currently hold, or be eligible for, Government of Canada Secret Clearance. The Resource
must maintain this level for the duration of employment.
 Expert in All Microsoft technologies (.NET, SQL)
 Possesses analytical and decision making skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and
disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
 Possesses the ability to contribute to strategic vision.
 Demonstrated understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
 Possesses expert communication skills, both written and verbal
 Possesses advanced skills in managing and optimizing an Operations-focused team
 Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively of both self and team members
 Self-motivated, goal-oriented and the ability to work within rigorous deadlines
 Highly automation focused
 Solid understanding of Object Oriented development principles
 Possesses strong technical knowledge in the areas of problem solving and trouble-shooting (ie
debugging)

 Experience with source control management, tools, build processes, testing, and operations.
Solid understanding of TFS is required, additional tools will be considered an asset
 Experienced in implementing software “best practices”, championing, and promoting processes
and new technology as appropriate
 Experienced application development on the ASP.NET platform utilizing most of the following:
o ASP .NET MVC (version 4 or more recent);
o Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) (version 3 or more recent); and
o AJAX. (Must-have)
 English essential, French will be considered an asset.
