Technical Sales / Sr. Mechanical Engineer
On behalf of our client, Randstad is recruiting for senior level candidates with sales and design experience in the mining and transit/rail industry. The successful individual would possess experience in one or both industries with past roles related to sales, mechanical design, and project / management.

Salary is negotiable with 3 Weeks’ Vacation Standard
Company supplied Phone and Laptop for this position

Position Responsibilities:
•30% Travel as the Technical Sales Lead for either Mining or Transit portfolio
•Work closely with engineering companies and end-users to provide best engineered process solutions
•Product development, design lead on hard rock vehicle to include electrifying vehicles
•Checking the work of junior designers, producing engineering drawings; provide sufficient detail to team members to facilitate timely quotations
•Experience working with clients on concept creation for quoting process with the Business Development Manager
•Provide insight on the product development process to clients
•Collaborate with Marketing to improve and facilitate greater sales opportunities and success
•Work closely with team members to pursue global opportunities
•Participate in industry conferences, tradeshows and industry related events

Position Requirements:
•PMP – Project Management Certificate is an asset
•P.Eng - Licensed Professional Engineer for Ontario
•Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related education
•Sales experience in the Mining or Transit/Rail Industry
•10+ Years’ experience in 3D Modelling using Solidworks or related software for design of mobile equipment related to construction, mining or transit
•5+ Years’ experience managing cross functional teams of upwards of 6 people
•Experience related to Quality with APQP phases, FEA, and CFD
•Fluent in Spanish is a strong asset for this position
