Our client in the Burlington area has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Ultrasonic Inspector to join their team!

In this role, responsibilities would include:
• Responsible for development of procedures to measure wall thickness and detect discontinuities in gas turbine parts with complex geometry and internal cooling holes
• Responsible for development of procedures to detect and characterize weld defects in pressure boundary welds
• Ability to write technical reports
• Ability to interpret codes, standards and procedures
• Responsible for following quality and safety requirements to properly perform inspections
• Occasional work at a customer site may be required

As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing Ultrasonic Inspections
• Experience with phased array and shear wave techniques applied to weld defect inspection
• Minimum CGSB Level 2 UT Certification with intention to pursue Level 3 is required, CGSB Level 3 preferred
• Experience with ET, RT, MT, PT, VT is an asset
• College or technical degree is an asset
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Able to train and mentor UT technicians
