VBA Developer
The VBA Developer has the responsibility to lead the analysis, creation, development, and the maintenance of new and existing critical underwriting applications. The individual will also be responsible for supporting various applications that are critical to daily activities. Finally, the Application Developer will support the Client Reporting, Underwriting, and Pricing areas to develop and implement software applications. These various tools will be used to enhance business technology projects and develop/enhance annual business planning processes/models to support the
execution of the divisional business strategy.

VBA Developer

• 3 – 5+ Years of experience in a Programmer/Application Developer type role
• University Degree, College Diploma or equivalent working experience
• Superior programming knowledge (Visual Basic for Application (VBA), VB.NET)
• In-depth knowledge of database application development (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server).
• Superior analytical skills and good understanding of the Project Management Life Cycle
• Excellent PC skills; knowledge of PC-Based software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Windows)

What are your top must-have qualities for the candidates you’re looking for?
Ideally in a "best case" scenario, we would have the following:
• VBA Application Development
• .Net
We would like an applicant who has experience in developing Complex VBA Applications with significant interactions with Databases such as Microsoft SQL Server. Finance and Insurance experience with complex business requirements is a must.

Yes, there could be.
Is a standard workweek for your team 37.5 or 40 hours per week?
Is there a possibility of extension or converting to FTE?
There would be possibility of extension or permanent role in future, but not guaranteed.
Is working from home permitted, and if so, how frequently?
Working from home is permitted to occasional, but not full time.
