Operational Readiness Project Manager
Location: Slough, UK (home-based initially)
Length: Contract until end of the year with the possibility for an extension
Pay rate: 587 GBP / day (umbrella), 430 GBP / day (PAYE)
A well-known Telecommunications company is looking for an Operational Readiness Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis to manage the Operational Readiness Governance Board, Operational Acceptance of the Releases against pre-defined criteria and Redline requirements.
Delivery of the operational readiness governance board, including meeting calendar & schedule, governance, communications, reporting and documentation.
Tracking and acceptance of predefined operational acceptance criteria & redlines by Delivery Releases.
Delivery of Operational Assurance activities delivered by the workstream to prove and evidence Releases have delivered as required.
Working with involved parties and vendors on all aspects of planning, set up, execution and exit against pre-defined and agreed criteria
Build strong relationships with internal and external partners and senior level stakeholders
Operating and maintaining clear stakeholder management strategies and plans to inform and influence stakeholders as necessary to improve the probability of delivery success.
Experience of delivering complex programmes
Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
Sound business case development and approvals skills
Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
Desirable - Certified (ITIL, 6 Sigma, Prince 2) or a good knowledge of programme and project management methods including MSP and PRINCE2...
