The PR specialist will provide PR and campaign execution support to the external communications team. This individual will be involved in developing content and campaigns driving brand relevance and promoting thought leadership for Randstad US and its family of brands. Examples of day-to-day tasks include media relations, writing content (including press releases, social media posts, articles, media alerts, intranet copy, etc.), building relationships with journalists and influencers, collaborative brainstorming for campaign development, monitoring industry trends, conducting and analyzing research and assisting with special projects that are considered as high value to the business. This individual will also engage with many different functions and people within the company, including marketing, sales, the executive team, and more.
Public RelationsCollaborate with the team to develop campaign topic ideas and media angles Write, edit and proofread content such as news releases, blogs, articles, pitches, briefing books, etc. to ensure accuracy, quality and consistencyPrepare talking points and briefing materials for executives in advance of interviews as needed Field incoming media requests and build relationships with key media members (trades)Research relevant media contacts and identify pitching opportunities to secure print and online coverage Develop a quarterly proactive outreach strategy to industry trade publications to secure media coverage for Randstad's line of businesses (LOB)Conduct and compile research for PR, content and social media teamsUpdate online collateral for the communications team Develop content briefs to provide the direction for the writing team to draft supporting materials (i.e. bylines articles, etc.)
Social MediaDevelop executive social strategy and weekly social posts for spokespeople as part of the external communications strategy, review weekly posts with executives Develop social posts to promote earned media coverage Develop social posts to promote PR campaign in coordination with our social media directorWork closely with social team to integrate campaignsDevelop relationships and engage with media and influencers via social mediaStay abreast of current trends in social media and integrate with external communications goals

RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related fieldA minimum of 2-3 years experience in communications or public relationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWorks well under pressure and meets tight deadlinesContent writing experience for all media platformsProven social media expertiseStrategic and creative mindsetMeticulous attention to detail
