Position Overview:
As a Claims Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the claims unit. You'll provide essential administrative and clerical support to the Claims and Rehabilitation Consultants, focusing on accurate and timely processing of invoices and medical certificates. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing your workload.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle electronic filing of claims records and provide general clerical and administrative services.
Accurately input invoices approved for payment into the claims system.
Enter medical certificates and other relevant information into the claims system.
Report to the Claims Manager and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Adhere to relevant regulations, company policies, and the Claims Reference Guide.
Perform other administrative tasks as required, such as distributing mail.
Minimum requirements:
1-2 years of administrative experience in a similar or related position.
Desirable attributes:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
A strong customer service mindset.
The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and initiative.
Experience in insurance and the public sector is highly desirable.
