We are recruiting for a cover supervisor in the Colchester area to work in a brilliant school in the next academic year.

Being a cover supervisor consists of supervising classes to ensure that the behaviour is under control and students are engaged in their work. Furthermore, you will be aiding pupils with their KS3 and KS4 learning. As a cover supervisor you will need to ensure pupils are on the right track and you will be the eyes and ears of the class.

Responsibilities:

• Controlling the behaviour of the class
• Dealing appropriately with challenging behaviour
• Making sure the work provided has been completed by the students
• Liaising with other members of staff in the school
• Safeguarding students
• Covering in the absence of the class teacher

Requirements:

• Experience working in a Secondary or Primary School environment (desirable)
• Enhanced DBS check or the willingness to get one- we can help with this
• Be committed to working in a team
• Strong work ethic
• Able to be flexible
