Role description

As Accounting Manager Denmark you will have to secure the day to day Accounting for the businesses in Denmark (Caleb Brett and Business Assurance) and helping develop process improvements. You will work in a full time role in our office in Kalundborg and report to the Finance Director North Europe.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience within finance and accounting
• Relevant educational background fx. HD, HA or Cand. Merc.
• Good English language, oral and written
• Good skills for Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Key Responsibilities

• Processing of primary documents as per internal split decided at Finance Department level: bank statements, cash statements, payables, receivables, expense claims
• Preparing the monthly notes: prepaid costs, accruals, consumables
• Preparing the monthly statements
• Preparing of annual, periodical or half year statements, including statutory statements
• Calculation of profit tax
• Preparing of various monthly statements asked by Group Reporting Policy
• Supporting in preparation of Specific Import File used for Monthly Report for the Group
• Relation with Fiscal Authorities to solve various problems which might appear in the day-to-day activity
• Preparation of various statements asked by current activity or by Operational Managers regarding the current activity
• Supervising a small team of accountants
• Assessing and identifying process / control weaknesses or inefficiencies and helping develop process improvements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose underlying root causes and design and implement innovative, fit-for-purpose and outcome focussed and data-driven solutions
• Solution focussed: must have the ability to work with ambiguity, to see a clear path forward in difficult situations and maintain positive solution focused outlook which is progressive to ensuring success
• Matrix management - working with teams to achieve success with ability to communicate well with other disciplines and create a good working relationship with other technical and operational staff
• Strong communications skills – is clear, concise, influential, considered, measured and appropriate in communication with gravitas and impact in a way which reflects adapting style to suit audiences
• Operate with precision, pace and passion - ability to focus on detail as well as looking at the bigger picture and to focus on track 1 (short term) and track 2 (long term) to ensure delivery and momentum is achieved. Ability to operate at hands on level as well as connect with and drive the strategic agenda
• Completer-finisher: able to handle multiple streams of work with the ability to start, complete and evaluate the impact at the end of each piece of work.
• Stakeholder management: understands and applies the value of deep and wide communication to keep all parties aligned, making progress and in agreement to the direction we are moving in
