    The Centre


    This lovely and EXCEEDING 130 place service located in the heart of the Inner West is looking for an Early Childhood Teacher to join their supportive and welcoming team of educators. The centre is large, however is a resource rich service with purpose-built and natural indoor and outdoor spaces for you as an Early Childhood Teacher to deliver the best quality learning experiences. The centre follows an interest and play based approach, where children are encouraged to explore and guide their own learning experiences.


    The service is located a short, less than 10 minute walk from Tempe station or is a less than 15 minute walk from Marrickville station. Ample parking can be found nearby. The centre is open Monday to Friday from 7:00am - 6:00pm.



    The Role


    As an Early Childhood Teacher your responsibilities will include:


    • Using a range of methods to guide children’s behaviour by communicating with and listening to children
    • Preparation, implementation and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate programs for individual children and groups
    • Being reliable, respectful and working constructively with your colleagues and other professionals
    • Ensuring a trusting relationship is developed with families through regular, honest and open communication regarding the care of their child
    • Having a sound knowledge of current child care practices, the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework

    About You

    To be successful in this position you must have:


    • A Bachelors in Early Childhood Teaching OR ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
    • Provisional or Proficient NESA Accreditation
    • A current Working with Children’s Check
    • Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain
    • Have a strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
